RE:User RightsEdit

You mean user tags on your user page? When you're a bureaucrat only the "Admin" user tag will appear. That's how it is in all wikis. It's different in my user page because I'm using a javascript that customizes user tags. Lelouch Di Britannia Talk 12:41, June 17, 2015 (UTC)

Oh, so can you make rollback badge for me?   Sayla Ryougetsuten    Talk   12:46, June 17, 2015 (UTC)

RE:AffiliationEdit

I would, but I don't think it would be appropriate. Since this wiki is an english one and your wiki is an indonesian one. It would be best to affiliate with wikis that are of same language group. Sorry. Lelouch Di Britannia Talk 03:48, June 19, 2015 (UTC)

RE:Admin RightsEdit

Hi, I'm doing well. Thanks for asking. Since I've just promoted a user to an admin, I don't want to do it again unless necessary. Since you're a trustworthy user, I'll give you content moderator rights. It's basically gives you the same abilities as an admin except the ability to block a user. Here are some of the things you can do:

  • Deleting and moving protected pages
  • Deleting and moving files
  • Undeleting pages and files
  • Rollback
  • Re-upload files
  • Protecting and unprotecting pages

An issue needs your urgent attentionEdit

There's a page which is flying on limbo because it's not attached to the site navigation.

https://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/Collection_of_official_statements

This wiki itself is giving a warning that it's not linked to anything else: https://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Insights/deadendpages

Only an admin can take the proper steps, which is why I'm asking you.

The page with the official statements needs to be included in the site navigation under "Media". You can do that on this page: https://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Wiki-navigation Furthermore other pages need to link to the "official statement" page, for example: the "Lelouch" page, the "Geass" page, the "Zero Requiem" page, the "Re;" page (final episode). Best is to add a "Notes" section at the end with a text like "The ending of the anime has divided the fandom on whether Lelouch is truly dead or not. This dispute has been settled by Word of God which has repeatedly stated that Lelouch is truly dead. An overview of these official statements can be found on this wiki. These include interviews, live commentaries, tweets, the official guide book, the remade epilogue (2009), etc, all with sources, links and pictures."

CodeGeassFan83 (talk) 11:07, August 21, 2018 (UTC)

I know that this problem counts as urgent, but please, for the love of every deity there is, stop asking every possible admin on this wiki aboIut it.

I don't mean to sound rude, but pestering Sayla as soon as you learn that they've gained admin rights is kind of an asshole thing to do. Just save the wiki page's source text somewhere on your computer, wait for Bahamut to finish whatever they are doing and then ask him to do the above.
Also, I must say: the page is kinda pointless:
  • Those who believe Lelouch is dead will just eternally repeat "The creator has repeatedly said he is dead" and won't bother linking the page to anyone.
  • Those who believe he is alive will either straight-out refuse to read it, or sift through it for loopholes, such as only the public identities of Lelouch vi Britannia and Lelouch Lamperouge being dead (afterall, the same could be said for Suzaku, could it not?).
But still, good luck with saving the page from damnation.
Francis val Britannia (talk) 11:56, August 21, 2018 (UTC)

There is nothing wrong with asking admins. It is their job after all. It's like saying "stop asking the baker to sell bread". It is very much not an asshole thing to do. Wasn't it you who said that talk pages aren't for discussion bewteen users? You're always free to contact me on my talk page if you want to talk to me, I'd welcome it.

As for Bahamut, 2 weeks ago I asked him a simple yes/no question. I'm STILL awaiting his reply!

As for what you believe is pointless, that is entirtely irrelevant. A wiki is a source for ALL information regarding the franchise, including the info which certain individuals aren't interested in. Imagine that someone doesn't care about the manga adaptations, should he argue that info about the manga has no place here? Because that's exactly what you're doing here. This wiki is for the fandom, not for an individual's personal tastes.

What people do with the page, accepting the words of the writers or not, is of no importance. It's everyone's freedom to make that decision for themselves. but in order to make that decision, the information must first be conveyed. And that is exactly the function of a wiki: conveying information to the community. That's why that page needs to be attached to the site navigation and needs links to it, it's the CORE FUNCTION of a wiki.

Besides, the info on that page contains some very unknown and hard to get information which is otherwise hidden by a massive language barrier. Had you read about the live commentaries before? Had you seen the remade epilogue from 2009 before that page was made? Did you know what the official guide book said? I dare say that for 99% of people who come to this wiki the answer will be no to all 3 of those questions. That shows the tremendous value the page has: making formerly inaccessible and unknown information accessible for the public. And this isn't even about "convincing people" as you seem to think it is. Information has an inherent value on itself. What people do with the information afterwards is their own business.

What I ask isn't even a lot of work. It's literally only adding a few lines of text to a page so that the page is finally a true part of the wiki and not just a detached, unfindable text floating in digital limbo. If you wish to dicuss this further, I invite you to my talk page.

As for rthe new admin Sayla (welcome btw), I cordially repeat my request, this issue has been ingored by others for months and it's a disgrace for for wikis everywhere.

190.218.198.60Edit

Hello. I would like to thank you for deleting all those obnoxious comments that anon made, and ask something.

Is it possible to lock an article's comment section? As in, nobody can leave a comment on that article or its Talk page. If it's possible, I would request doing so to Nina's page. She may have done some bad things, but Christ, the comment section plays out like a 4Chan board.

Unconnected pageEdit

There's a page which is flying on limbo because it's not attached to the site navigation.

https://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/Collection_of_official_statements

This wiki itself is giving a warning that it's not linked to anything else: https://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Insights/deadendpages

The page with the official statements could be included in the site navigation under "Media" since it pertains to canon lore.

Furthermore, other pages need to link to the "official statement" page, for example: the "Lelouch" page, the "Geass" page, the "Zero Requiem" page, the "Re;" page (final episode).
