Appearance[edit | edit source]

Similar to Suzaku Kururugi, Paul Gekko is a young man with light brown hair and forest green eyes. He is rather tall, being slightly shorter than Lelouch vi Britannia, Rolo Lamperouge and Kallen Kōzuki. When he was with Napoleon Bonaparte, he is usually clothed in regal clothing with a long blue cloak. Reborn as a God, he resembles Suzaku Kururugi when he was younger and he is the size of the teenage titan.

Origins[edit | edit source]

Early Life[edit | edit source]

In 1400 B.C., Paul Gekko was born as a prehistoric human of the fabled island, until one day, it was stricken with a shower of mysterious large crystals, that could store cosmic energy, raining from the sky from outer space onto their island. The largest one, known as the Geass. Then, the planets aligned, powering all of the crystals. He learned to harness this energy. Using these objects, he built himself a massive underground fortress far beyond any other allowing them to build a Utopia over the Earth. Believing that Paul needs his students to build their own civilization, Paul Gekko taught the humans Rome, Arabia, China, Africa, Europe and Greece advanced technologies such as astronomy, agriculture, and engineering through the use of the crystal to form the Super Tribe. It was with this knowledge that the totem pole was built atop of the underground fortress. The super tribe worshiped a Paul Gekko as their god. However, the neighboring groups of humans from different cultures in also learned about the single god, and the practice of single crystal may have spread to other cultures, including to the inhabitants of Nazca.

In 1814-1821 a.t.b., The revolutionaries stop Napoleon Bonaparte before he forms the revolutionary empire and becomes emperor. Killing the hero of the revolution via Guillotine. Therefore saving the revolutionary republic from becoming what it had been fighting against.

The 'Emblem of Blood' era. During this period, assassination and betrayals were frequented among the member of the imperial Family that coveted the throne. At the same time, Sixth Prince Victor zi Britannia and Seventh Prince Charles zi Britannia are born under their mother, who herself is later assassinated.

Modern Times[edit | edit source]

Reborn as a God, the Holy Britannia Empire worshiped him and met Lelouch vi Britannia was in line to be the seventeenth heir to the throne prior to his mother's assassination and his sister's crippling in the same incident. A ten year old Lelouch confronted the Emperor afterwards and accused him of leaving his mother defenseless, even going as far as renouncing his entitlement to the throne. In response, Charles banished him to Japan, where he was used as a political hostage in the Sakuradite conflict and Paul Gekko have to go with Lelouch and Nunnally.

It was during his stay at the Kururugi household that he first met Suzaku Kururugi, with whom the young Lelouch did not interact initially in a friendly manner, before later becoming friends. However, when Britannia finally developed its Knightmare Frames fleet and decided to invade Japan to seize control of the Sakuradite mines, forcing Paul Gekko to protect Lelouch, Suzaku and Nunnally throughout the series.
