Schneizel el Britannia (シュナイゼル・エル・ブリタニア Shunaizeru eru Buritania) is a major character in Code Geass: Suzaku of the Counterattack. He is the Second Prince of the Britannian Imperial Family, as well as the Prime Minister of the Holy Britannian Empire. Charismatic and manipulative, cunning and ruthless, Schneizel is initially presented as Suzaku's benefactor with dreams of global equality. However, he is later revealed to be the main antagonist of the series with asperations of immortality and world domination.
Appearance[]
Schneizel is considered to be a very handsome man with fair skin, corn-silk blonde hair that falls across the back of his neck, and cold, violet eyes. He is extremely tall, towering over nearly all other characters in the series and is slightly taller than even his father, Charles zi Britannia. He is typically seen wearing a long, royal purple tunic that is bordered with black and gold accents, and across his mid-section is a loosely fitting white belt, ending right at his kneecaps, that covers a portion of white slacks. Over top of this is a white over-coat that possess a stiff, black high-backed collar that shows a crimson silk inside, with golden epaulettes at the shoulders.

Schneizel is charismatic and calculating, able to form complex strategies that can match even Lelouch's. Despite this, he shows a caring side to his subordinates, earning their respect and loyalty. Schniezel initially a appears as a benevolent man. He desires for a works with no distinctions in class or status, where everyone is equal. However, this belief underlies his true views, as he has a pessimistic view of the world and believes that a world of equality is only possible if someone, himself, has absolute control over the world and rules with such overwhelming power that no one would even think of rebelling.
He is incredibly apathetic and cold, having no qualms about using Suzaku’s trauma to manipulate him or framing Lelouch for the murder of their father and later puncturing his eye out.

Schneizel is the second prince of the Holy Britannian Empire as well as Lelouch's older half brother. At some point in the past, Schneizel learned about C.C.'s immortality and, seeking to use it to conquer the world, captured her. Marianne vi Britannia somehow learned of his goals, and tried to release C.C., leading Schneizel to have her assassinated. At some point, he began funding ASEEC's development of the Lancelot, with secret intentions of creating an army of enhanced soldiers at his command.
Character History[]
After Schneizel arrives at Area 11, he meets Lloyd's assistant Mariel Lubie and discusses the Knightmare combat suit and its connections with Geass. She reveals to him that it involves beings known as "Regulators", who were part of the Geass cult and gained superhuman abilities. Schneizel then meets Suzaku, and decides to appoint him as his Knight, which Suzaku accepts.

When Zero and the Black Knights take control over the Britannian Art Gallery with Charles inside, Schneizel orders Suzaku to protect civilians. Confronts Zero, who he knows is Lelouch. After zero happens apon Charles's corpse in his private room, Schneizel reveals himself in the shadows, having been the one who killed the Emperor. He reveals that someone told him about Zero's true ideneity as Lelouch and when Lelouch tries o use his geass on him Schneizel overpowers Lelouch, forcing Lelouch to shoot him. Suzaku then enters, and seeing Zero pointing a gun at the injured Schneizel' as well as the emperor's corpse, defends Schneizel and shoots Zero's mask off. Lelouch and Suzaku enter a standoff which ends with the Glinda knights bursting in and detaining Zero. Schneizel commends Zuaku for his work before he leaves. As he leaves, Lloyd informs him that they have recaptured C.C..
Back at the base, Schneizel and Lloyd lock C.C. in a restricted lab. There, Schneizel lays out his true motivations, his plans for world domination, and how he had used Suzaku. The next day, upon learning of Suzaku's betrayl, Schneizel dismisses him, beleiving that he can creat nan army of Lancelot equipped soldiers.

The next day, during the eclipse, Schneizel is confronted by Lelouch and Suzaku. Suzaku tries to attack him, but, as Schneizel has already begun absorbing C.C.'s immortality, the knight is unable to reach him past a barrier of wind. Schneizel then fights Lelouch, puntuing his left eye and revealing that Scheizel himself is the one who had Marianne killed. As he is about to shoot Lelouch, Suzaku manages to become a regulator, awakening a geass through sheer will power and stabs Schneizel, killing him.
Abilities[]
Schneizel briefly obtained a small amount of C.C.’s power during his final clash with Suzaku and Lelouch. This power not only made him immune to Lelouch's Geass, but it also surrounded him surround him with a barrier of wind that prevented anyone not possessing a geass from getting close to him.
Intelligence[]
Schneizel is shown to be extremely intelligence and extremely manipulative, using his charisma along with Suzaku's trauma to manipulate him into acting as his knight.
