The Student Council (生徒会, Seito Kai) is the governing body of Ashford Academy. During the school year, the Student Council has organized the annual School Festival as well as other events under the eccentric leadership of Milly Ashford. One of these events was Cupid's Day where students wore colored hats shaped as love hearts (boys wore blue hats while girls wore pink hats). Milly was offering an increase in pocket money for Lelouch's hat. Lelouch decided to switch with Sayoko Shinozaki who disguises as him.
The Student Council changes in a.t.b. 2018 . Kallen Stadtfeld leaves school due to political reasons. Suzaku Kururugi is transferred from Area 11 after being promoted to a Knight of the Round but then returns. Nina Einstein is recruited by Prince Schneizel el Britannia to head In Vogue. Before Rolo takes over, Clara Lamperouge takes the Lamperouge sibling's place before being killed. Rolo Lamperouge replaces Nunnally, but not as an honorary member. In addition, two Knights of the Round (Gino Weinberg and Anya Alstreim) join after being stationed in Area 11. Shirley Fenette is murdered by Rolo. Afterwards, Rolo dies after saving Lelouch from the Black Knights' Betrayal. Milly eventually graduates. Lelouch becomes the Emperor of Britannia and is slain by Suzaku, disguised as Zero. Kallen is once again a Student Council Member. It is also revealed in Code Geass: The Miraculous Birthday that Rivalz replaced Milly as president of the Student Council.
