Anya Alstreim (アーニャ・アールストレイム Ānya Ārusutoreimu) is the personal Knight of Rolo vi Britannia and Head Knight of the Eden Vital Order.
Personality[]
Anya is normally a calm a quiet person who dutifully follow Rolo's orders. However she has also shown a strong amount of pride in her knightmare skills, talking down to Suzaku, referring to him as a "little boy" that she was going to punish during their duel. She also seems to have a great amount of care for Rolo, as she became his knight to look after him and was greatly saddened when he began to degrade.
It is later revealed that Marianne's soul was inhabiting her body, so it is unclear how much of Anya's personality was her own and how much was due to Marianne.
Background[]
Anya kills Marianne.
At a young age Anya was taken in and brainwashed by the Eden Vital Order. She was eventually sent to the royal palace under the guise of learning etiquette. In reality the Eden Vital Order had conspired with Anti-Marianne Nobility and sent Anya to assassinate Marianne vi Britannia. Anya succeeded in fatally wounding Marianne, she was stopped from killing Nunnally by the arrival of C.C., who subdued her. After being given a geass by C.C. Marianne used her new power to transfer her soul into Anya' body.

After Nunnally is captured, she informs Rolo that the Irregulars have agreed to hand her over to the Eden Vital Order. She then questions if he intended to meet her, to which Rolo confirms.

Suzaku fights Anya
When Suzaku tries to rescue Nunnally after interrupting her execution, Anya steps in and blocks his path. When Zero appears, Anya tries to attack him, but she it intercepted by Suzaku. Anya condemns Suzaku for fighting against the order and helping Zero, but Suzaku reaffirms that Euphemia commanded him to prevent Nunnally's execution, so his priority is defeating the order. As Zero warps away, he tells Suzaku that he will leave Anya to him. Anya then laments being deceived by the witch and announces that she will punish Suzaku. After Suzaku tells Cecil and Lloyd to get Euphemia to safety, Anya mocks him for getting distracted by a woman before using her slash harkens to sever his arms. She then defeats him and throws him through the wall, unintentionally interrupting Zero and Rolo's fight. when Alice appears, Anya tries to attack her, but Anya summons slash harkens to counter her. Alice then summons the Code Geass and pushes Anya to the side before creating a ball of energy. Anya just manages to get herself and Rolo out of range before the entire building is annihilated.
Later, during the meeting between Rolo Euphemia and Cornelia, when Cornelia brings up how they using knightmares within a confined space an heavily damaged the area as a result, Anya states that her an Suzaku's action were to stop Zero. After Charles esablished the Holy Faith Nation of Eden Vital, Rolo is observing maintenance on the Vincent when Anya approaches and tells him to leave Nunnally to her. Rolo asserts that the Empire is getting serious and if ha can at least obtain Nunnally's power, then he can win against them. Anya questions if he truly intends to rebel and Rolo explains that he intends to take Lelouch and Nunnally's power to become the Demon King and surpass the Emperor.
After Alice is located, Rolo, believing that she wont be able to defeat him, decides to take the lead, having Anya on standby and Dalque on support while leaving Sancia and Lucretia to continue searching. After Rolo is revealed to have taken Nunnaly hostage, Anya appears and reveals that the Irregulars were just bait to lure out Alice and she had captured Nunnally while they were all distracted.

Rolo's death.
After Rolo si defeated and remembers how he was artifically created, Anya confirms his origins. Angered that she knew his true nature and hid it from him, Rolo angrily tries to choke out Anya, but upon seeing the sad look on her face, he realizes that she had actually been watching over him. He sadly asks her if, as an artificial being, his soul will be able to return to Eden Vital, and Anya admits that she doesn't know. He chuckles and comments that she is a cruel person before his body disintegrates in Anya’s arms. Anya then picks up Rolo’s locket and tosses Alice, explaining that it contains information about Kamine Island and that going there will allow Alice to learn more about Eden Vital, geass, and how to save Nunnally. She then disappears.
However, Anya reappears one final time inside C's World when Marianna appears to Nunnally revealing her consciousness has been inside Anya ever since her assassination eight years ago. What happened to Anya after Marianne left her body is unknown.

Anya's modified Tristan
Anya pilots a modified Tristan as he knightmare. She is an extremely skilled knightmare pilot and is even able to overwhelm and defeat Suzaku. Despite this, she was still quickly overwhelmed by Alice's Code Geass.
